Pain Into Poetry: Healing, Expression, and Creative Release

Bottling up emotions takes a toll. Over time, unexpressed feelings can lead to emotional exhaustion, physical tension, headaches, restless sleep, and a quiet sense of disconnection. Creative expression offers a powerful release valve—giving those emotions a shape, a voice, and a healthy way out.

On November 14th, 2026, join us for Pain Into Poetry, an in-person creative therapy writing workshop created to help you transform complex inner experiences into language, art, and perspective.

What to Expect at the Workshop

You do not need to be a published author or have any background in poetry to participate. This session is about emotional release, reflection, and self-compassion, not technical perfection.

During this guided session, you will experience:

  • Gentle Grounding Exercises: Settle your nervous system and center your thoughts before writing.

  • Guided Prompts: Explore simple writing prompts designed to convert raw emotions, memories, and physical sensations into metaphor and narrative.

  • A Safe, Confidential Space: Work at your own pace in a respectful, nonjudgmental setting led by a trained facilitator.

  • Optional Sharing: Share your words if you feel called to, or simply write for yourself—there is zero pressure to read aloud.

  • Group Discussion: Learn practical strategies for ongoing creative expression to support your everyday well-being.

Who This Workshop Is For

This space is open to:

  • Anyone navigating grief, life transitions, anger, loneliness, or heavy emotions who wants a supportive outlet.

  • Individuals looking for creative coping tools to complement traditional therapy or mindfulness routines.

  • Anyone curious about the therapeutic benefits of reflective writing in a welcoming community setting.
